WESTERN CAPE

It was at the Cape of Good Hope that Dutch settlers established a station on route from Europe to the East and Cape Town was born. A city that sits at the foothills of the spectacular Table Mountain that has thousands of visitors every year either visiting its summit by cable car or, for the more adventurous, on foot. At the tip of the Peninsula is the meeting place of the two oceans, the warm Indian and the cold Atlantic. Well known world wide for its wines the Cape attracts many visitors to the 'Wine Route' The Western Cape extends up the east coast of South Africa to the relaxing Garden Route with its picturesque towns of Mossel bay, George, Knysna and Plettenberg Bay. Slightly Inland is Oudtshoorn the centre of ostrich farming in South Africa and home of the world famous Cango caves.
