Oudrif is situated on a rocky shelf overlooking the river and consists of five en-suite cottages each accommodating two people, arranged around a central eating and relaxing area. The straw bale cottages are constructed using environmentally sound principles, including the use of timber from invasive trees and pre-used fittings. Each cottage uses solar power for lighting and gas geysers for hot water.
In keeping with the
overwhelming sense of peace and solitude at Oudrif farm, it was decided that if the experience was to be shared with others, preservation of the heritage of the area was imperative.
